The MOT Test Checks

• Boot, Bonnet & Tailgate - The test ensures that the boot/tailgate and bonnet shut securely.

• Bodywork / Structure - Checked it is free from excessive corrosion or damage in specific areas and there are no sharp edges likely to cause injury.

• Brakes - The overall condition, operation and performance of your brakes, pedals and levers will be inspected,.

• Doors - Doors latches, catches and hinges are checked they are secure , and that your front and rear doors open correctly.

• Electrical - The electrical inspections check your car battery and any visible wiring.

• Exhaust Emissions - The emissions test checks that your exhaust emissions meet the legal limit for the age and fuel type of your vehicle.

• Exhaust System - Your exhaust system is checked that it's secure and complete and for any leaks, loud noises and missing diesel particulate filters (if fitted).

• Fuel System - This test ensures that your hoses and pipes are in good condition and your fuel system is checked for potential leaks. .

• Horn - The horn is checked to make certain it works properly and is suitable for your vehicle.

• Lights - All lights and bulbs will be checked to make sure they work correctly and their overall condition.

• Mirrors - We check you have at least the minimum number of mirrors, they are propery secure and in good condition.

• Registration Plate - This checks your registration plate is clear, easily legible and securely attached.

• Seat belt / SRS - Checks that mandatory seatbelts are in place, comply with the legal requirement to be functional, in good condition and securely fixed.

• Seats - Seats are checked they are securely fitted and the driver's seat can be adjusted.

• Steering & Suspension - Your steering and suspension system will be checked for its overall condition and functionality.

• Towbar - If fitted, your towbar will be checked to make sure it's securly fitted, in good condition and has no unsuitable modifications or repairs.

• Tyres & Wheels - All tyres are checked they are in a good and legal condition.

• Windscreen - This test checks that the driver has a clear and unobstructed view of the road.

• Windscreen wipers & Washers - Wipers and washers will be checked to ensure they work properly and do not inhibit the driver's view of the road.
